I have just released a Russian Edition which is now available from many retailers including Amazon and Barnes and Noble. At this time, the Russian Edition is available in paperback only.

Creating Harmony

We are currently living in an environment of elevated disharmony. Discord in many forms is being pushed at us from all directions. Discord is being radiated from politics, protests & riots, natural disasters, and the health restrictions which have affected the livelihoods and daily lives of most of us. These vibrations are being promoted and amplified by the media.

The negativity can feel heavy at times, and it seeks to divide us. It may be difficult at times to remain in a positive, loving space with ourselves and with others. It can also trigger other insecurities, fears, and core emotional issues.

Fortunately, when we are living within conscious awareness, it can be our choice to NOT respond as expected to these influences – to not participate in absorbing and spreading the negativity and division. We can, instead, choose to experience and radiate harmony to help diffuse the current climate of disharmony. Here I offer a roadmap for elevating ourselves from disharmony to harmony.

Creating Harmony

What is harmony? Harmony is a state of unity which allows us to create greater (higher vibrational) experiences, despite any differences we may have.

Harmony is exemplified by the Blood body type. Those having this body type are especially sensitive to disharmony with others, which can affect them physically. In the body, blood maintains harmony by distributing oxygen and nutrients, while removing waste and toxins.

Blood body types will go to great lengths to maintain harmony. For this, they are equipped with an ability to read and understand others, coupled with a good sense of humor (which can often diffuse tense encounters), and an optimistic nature. In this way, they illuminate a path for all of us to achieve a greater harmony with others: take time to understand others (not just their viewpoints); and maintain an optimistic attitude, and lighten things up with humor.

We create harmony simply by releasing those attachments and emotions that divide us.

Transmuting Disharmony (and Other Emotions)

Disharmony transmutes into Balance using White Angelica essential oil, and the affirmation “I am balanced.” (If not already familiar with my technique for Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils, see the video below):


Are there other emotions being triggered by the current state of events? That is very likely, given the disruptions to daily life that we have experienced this year. You can lookup these emotions in the “Blue Book”, or online using Oils Lookup (there is a “try-for-free” option). Once you’ve identified these emotions, the clearing patterns for them can be found in either of those places.

If you can’t immediately identify emotions you may be experiencing, your body may be sending a signal in the form of discomfort or ailment – you can lookup which emotions are stored in different areas of the body using Oils Lookup or the Blue Book.

It’s very likely that one or more of the Core Emotional Issues for your body type are being triggered during these emotionally intensifying times. The Core Emotional Issues for each body type, as well as the clearing procedure and oil, can be found in the book or Oils Lookup.

As we release and transmute these negative emotions, we are free to place a greater focus on harmony, through emphasizing commonality over division.

Harmony with Others

The key to commonality with others is to understand and appreciate them, regardless of their viewpoints on any topic of the day. There is a saying, “there are no enemies – there is only failure to understand”. It is possible to rise above differences of opinion through understanding each other better. Each body type communicates and interacts with others differently. Disharmony often occurs unintentionally when we don’t communicate effectively.

The 25 body types each have unique dispositions as either Emotional or Mental, and Physical or Spiritual. These dispositions affect how we communicate, and how we internally translate what others communicate to us. A Heart body type (Emotional/Spiritual) might be easily offended by a Brain body type (Mental/Physical), because a Brain body type will usually communicate in cold, hard facts with less concern about a soft delivery, or the emotional factors surrounding the topic at issue, while a Heart body type communications more through emotion.

When we are experiencing disharmony with a significant person in our lives, understanding their body type’s personality profile gives insight for a greater understanding of their perspective and how they communicate.

Are you a Liver body type? You might be, if:
  • You are considered to be consistent, reliable, dependable, supportive, patient and considerate
  • You are the one your friends and family can always count on
  • You place high priority on family, loyalty and stability
  • You need to be needed and enjoy being there for others
  • You have great physical endurance and are resilient in seeing projects through to completion
  • You have an intense desire to experience life, and a strong need to understand how and why things work
  • You have an emotional nature, and being supportive of or supported by others provides the motivation to learn what life presents

If this describes you, you could be an Liver body type.

Women's Appearance

Women with the Liver body type typically have a broad, thick torso with a smaller lower body - narrow hips with thin thighs - and may wear two sizes of clothing, the larger size being for the upper body. They have strong, solid bodies with solid musculature and well-defined, muscualar calves. Weight gain occurs in the abdomen, waist, back, and upper hips and thighs.

Men's Appearance

Men with the Liver body type have a thick, straight torso with slender legs. They present a thick stocky appearance with thick musculature, and can attain torso muscualar definition. They have a relatively short neck, and average or broad shoulders.

Personality, Relationships & Career

Liver body types are kind, patient, considerate, and people-oriented. They are known for being dependable and consistent.

They are physically strong and resilient, and able to see things through to completion. They enjoy seeing the physical results of their efforts.

Liver body types have excellent organizational skills and are attentive to detail. They like to put things together so that they flow. Teaching provides them with a sense of fulfillment, because it gives to others, while providing the experience of feeling valuable and important.

The primary nature of Kidney body types is Emotional / Physical. (Read more about the Points of Connection.)


Liver body types have strong, sturdy, healthy bodies with good stamina and endurance. The primary benefit of exercise for them is that it burns calories. Exercise helps their emotional state besides cleansing the body. Abdominal muscular definition is achievable with basic exercise programs. Best when there is a fluidity of movement, such as in dance, jazzercise, callanetics, walking, and downhill skiing. Exercise machines, weights, and bicycling are moderately effective.

Nutrition, Diet & Weight Management

Liver body types are best with lunch as the largest meal. Foods are best assimilated when eaten in combinations. Emphasize rotation & variety. May include gravies & sauces. Include more raw than cooked vegetables. Garlic supports immune system. Emotional support from others is important to overall well-being.

To lose weight: eliminate salt; avoid chocolate, sodas and alcohol. Exercise daily. Have emotional support.

Liver is not one of the body types that can thrive on a vegetarian diet. For more about body type and vegetarianism, see the February 2018 Newsletter.

Core Emotional Issues

Each of the 25 body types encounters certain core emotional issues or lessons to overcome in life. For Liver body type, these are:
  • Anger - released with Purification essential oil, "My direction is clear", transmutes to Laughter
  • Rejection - also released with Purification essential oil, "I accept all that I am", transmutes to Acceptance
  • Failure - released with Peppermint essential oil, "I accept growth", transmutes to Unfoldment

Harmony Essential Oil

Harmony Essential Oil promotes physical and emotional well-being by creating a harmonic balance to the body’s energy centers. It brings us into harmony with all things, people, and cycles of life. It can reduce stress and increase our overall feeling of well-being. Harmony combats feelings of discord and is uplifting and elevating to the mind, helping to create a positive attitude. Harmony brings about Elevation, giving you an opportunity to rise above the situation.

Harmony is a blend containing geranium, rosewood, lavender, sandalwood, frankincense, orange, lemon, angelica, hyssop, Spanish sage, jasmine, Roman chamomile, bergamot, ylang ylang, palmarosa, spruce and rose.

Harmony can be used aromatically by diffusing. It can also be applied to ears, forehead, wrists, bottoms of the feet, over the heart, at the base of the neck, or at the back of the head. It can be applied to areas of poor circulation. Those with very sensitive skin may experience slight skin sensitivity to this oil and should dilute it with a drop or 2 of a carrier oil, before applying.

Other uses of Harmony essential oil include:
  • Dilute 1 part vegetable oil to 1 part Harmony
  • For topical use, apply 1-2 drops on edge of ears, wrists. neck, temples, over heart, or chakra points
  • Dilute 1:15 Harmony with vegetable oil for a full-body massage
  • For aromatic use, directly inhale as needed or diffuse/humidify for 20-25 minutes daily
  • Add 2-4 drops to bath water
  • Put 4-8 drops on cotton ball and locate on vents
  • Add 2 drops to a wet cloth and put in clothes dryer
