Thymus Body Type Personality Overview

The Core Emotional Issues of the Thymus Body Type are Anger, Failure, Losing, Abandonment, Wrong, Inferiority

I am particularly strong-willed, forceful, determined and practical. I prefer life to be steady and constant. I only like change that I instigate. I tend to evaluate more with my head than my heart, but I’m not particularly analytical. I dive into projects and bulldoze my way through, dealing with challenges as they arrive. I have high standards and expectations – especially for myself. I can be an idealistic perfectionist. I like to be in charge and in control, and my physical presence can be intimidating to others. I need to be the center of attention, and expect others to accommodate me. My primary concern is to protect myself and those I care about. I prefer the security of the tried-and-true. I see everything as black and white, with very little in-between or compromise. I am very firm about doing things my way. Giving up my preferences or compromising is very challenging for me. Thinking things through takes effort, so I bypass the process whenever possible by categorizing something as right or wrong. Change is threatening to me, and I initially respond negatively to new ideas. I need to be in control, so when things don’t go as planned I tend to blame others. Relationships are challenging for me, and go better when I’m in control of them. I tend to be more aware of my surroundings than of my own internal feelings.

I have a strong sense of responsibility and loyalty, and a forceful presence. I am able to bring stability to my environment. I have a well-meaning, take-charge demeanor which is sometimes perceived as being controlling. I am protective of my own, and go to great lengths to keep my environment constant. I generally resist change of any kind. I judge everything as good/bad or right/wrong, which makes it easier to maintain a constantly stable environment. Because I associate safety with known situations, I have a deep-seated fear of change. My innate desire to protect and to keep life constant gives rise to my strong sense of loyalty and responsibility. I am fulfilled by meeting personal challenges. Challenge is often initiated by physical pain. I can be very pragmatic in my approach to life. My challenge is to integrate my spiritual and emotional traits, moving from judgment to unconditional love and acceptance – perfection.
