Issue No. 95
I am excited to announce I will be teaching a new Zoom class "Emotional Release with Everyday Oils" featuring Young Living's Everyday Oils Collection. This 5-week course begins June 23, and will explore all 10 Essential Oils. Early registration discounts expire May 27, and those attending my recent class on the Feelings Collection qualify for an additional discount.
People are surprised when they first read the Personality Profile for their body type. This month I explain the basic differences between body type personalities, which can be identified even in young children.
While typically associated with money, Abundance really refers to anything in life that brings you joy. Abundance Essential Oil blend includes Orange and Ginger, used by the ancients to attract success and magnify joy and peace.
Skin body types are sensitive to emotions, subtle energies and vibrations, and they communicate through feeling and touch. Take the quick quiz to see if you might be a Skin body type.
As always, I hope and trust that these newsletters help you enjoy a happier, healthier life.
Health and Happiness,
Dr. Carolyn Mein

|Your Personality Profile|
Do you consider yourself to be more physical or more spiritual? More mental or more emotional? We each present unique personalities to the world, and yet those sharing the same body type have remarkably similar traits and motivations.
When people discover their body type, their biggest surprise is almost always the personality profile. The most frequent comment I hear is, “how can you know me so well?” People are consistently surprised at the level of detail and accuracy of the personality profile for their body type.
The 4 Aspects of Your Basic Nature
Your basic nature determines your response to life events, and what motivates you. This basic nature is innate and doesn’t change. There are four defining aspects: physical, spiritual, mental and emotional. We are born with two of these traits dominant, which defines how we perceive the world and interact with others. The other two traits are recessive, and we develop them as we grow. However, our innate response is always our first response.
Each body type can be identified as either physical / mental, physical / emotional, spiritual / mental, or spiritual / emotional. For each body type, these traits are manifested in a unique way.
A body type that is more mental than emotional doesn’t mean they don’t feel or experience emotion – it means that they trust what they think or know more than how they feel. A mental body type makes logical or “informed” (information-based) decisions rather than “gut feeling” decisions, while an emotional body type trusts how a decision “feels” without feeling a need to research the details.
Likewise, physical and spiritual body types aren’t differentiated by physical strength or belief systems. A physical body type interprets situations literally or at face value, before trusting an unseen concept or idea, and often trusts a physical response. A spiritual body type more readily trusts a concept or idea even if unproven in a physical manner.
These traits are easily identifiable even in young children as they comprise our innate personality. In fact, personality is how I identify the body type of young children, before their physical characteristics mature.
The basic nature of all 25 body types relative to each other is shown in this chart:
Different Body Types, Different Personalities
So how do these differences manifest themselves in daily life?
The Adrenal body type is the classic physical / mental. They have a wide, grounded stance, and when they enter a room full of people they make their presence known, with their strong, commanding physical presence and energy. They mentally examine problems from multiple angles to arrive at a practical solution. They may appear to have a short attention span because once they’ve figured out a solution, their alert mind wants to move on to something else and leave the details to others. As children, Adrenal types express their mental curiosity about “everything” in a tactile (physical) sense, wanting to touch or explore whatever catches their eye. Their innate athleticism often manifests as a propensity in sports at a young age, and their goal will always be to win, not just to play. If a trophy is involved, they will play even harder - Adrenals are motivated by visible signs of success.
The Gonadal body type exemplifies a physical / emotional body type. They express the physical aspect of their nature in a playful or sexual way. When feeling mentally overwhelmed, they will immerse themselves in physical activity. They are very sensitive to the feelings of others, and are prone to being controlled by their emotions. Being more people- than task-oriented, they understand when emotional support is needed and they provide it. They often pursue careers with less of a mental focus – such as hairdressing, interior design, or landscaping – working with others to create physical beauty. Even as children, Gonadal types are very expressive of their emotions, expressing joy through play, and stress easily overwhelms them. The acceptance and approval of family and others is very important to them. They may also dote on their appearance more than other children.
The Heart body type is spiritual / emotional. True to their name, they exude an approachability and a sensitivity to others that is truly heartfelt – I often say that Heart body types “inspire hugs”. Their connection to others is often their highest priority. Their amplified feelings often take them on an emotional roller coaster ride, which may appear to others that they are blowing things out of proportion. When they attain inner emotional peace with self, their spiritual nature allows them to be happy regardless of physical circumstances. As children, Heart body types may be pre-occupied with their relations with others and show their tendency to worry over just about anything. They are prone to stress, which can make them very uptight. And when swept away by their own emotions, they can lose objectivity.
The Thyroid body type exemplifies the spiritual / mental nature. Like the Heart body type, Thyroids are very sensitive to the feelings and emotions of others, and exhibit a strong compassion or empathy for them. Having a stronger mental than emotional aspect allows them to be more self-sufficient emotionally, and when confrontation is needed, they can wait until the times is right and will go to lengths to prepare so that the other person is not offended. Their mental nature enables them to study and understand complex concepts in depth. They often apply this skill towards the betterment or benefit of humanity. Thyroid children commonly feel misunderstood, and tend to become self-sufficient at a young age. They demonstrate emotional maturity by controlling their emotions, exercising restraint in their expressions, and side-stepping conflicts.
It’s always useful and interesting to understand the self in different and deeper ways. The real benefit to the personality profiles of the 25 Body Type System is learning to better understand those around us, and how they operate, allowing us to relate to each other more productively. This process helps us to expand our own recessive traits, and grow.

|Abundance Essential Oil for Attracting Joy|
While often associated with money, Abundance really refers to anything in life that brings you joy – including healthy and harmonious relationships, and a peaceful environment.
Abundance essential oil blend helps open you to a wealth of possibilities to give you the extra push to make things happen. This unique blend combines oils such as Orange and Ginger, which were used by ancient cultures to attract success and magnify joy and peace.
The Abundance essential oil blend was created to enhance the frequency of the energy field that surrounds us through the electrical stimulation of the somatides. Somatides transmit the frequency from the cells to the outside of the body when they are stimulated through fragrance and the thought process. This frequency, called the electrical field or the aura, creates what is called the "law of attraction," or that which we attract to ourselves. This might bring about an abundance of health, both physical and emotional. The oils in Abundance also contain tremendous antiviral and antifungal properties.
For those already familiar with Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils, Abundance can be used to address several emotions, which are all centered around the perception of “having enough”:
Worry is an emotional we all experience at times, and is a Core Emotional Issue for the Heart body type.
Abundance is a blend of myrrh, cinnamon bark, frankincense, patchouli, orange, clove, and black spruce. It can be used as a perfume or cologne, although those with sensitive skin may wish to dilute it with an equal part of V-6 mixing oil, massage oil, olive oil, or satin body lotion. It can be inhaled while visualizing, for up to 1 hour 3 times daily. Keep away from children, eyes, and mucous membranes; for external use only.
