Improving and Attracting Relationships


Valentine’s Day provides an opportunity to consider our intimate relationships - whether you are in a relationship, or would like to attract one.

For couples, this is a holiday to celebrate the relationship. Setting aside any conflicts in order to simply enjoy each other creates an excellent space in which to consider how to make the relationship even better.

For singles desiring a partner, this is an opportunity to think about what you want and to ensure you are open and ready.


Expectations in Relationships

Expectations – expectations of ourselves, expectations of others, and expectations that are or are not communicated – are a common stumbling point in relationships.

We learn to expect very early in life, when we are completely dependent upon our parents or providers for every want and need. These parental relationships engender the essence of Expectations. As infants and young children, we react emotionally when we do not receive what we expect from our parents.

We unintentionally carry this forward into adulthood. We have Expectations of others, often at a subconscious level, and we react when these Expectations are not met, creating unnecessary conflict. When single, these Expectations may create a barrier to attracting or forming balanced relationships.

Expectations inherently are a “demand” for something we perceive that we need or deserve. This creates undue stress on a relationship – sometimes in very subtle ways that build to conflict. We (and our partners) are not always aware of these expectations, they often work in the background. Sometimes we discuss them, and other times we simply react emotionally like we did as children – without explanation.


Relationships and the Second Chakra

The Sacral or Second Chakra is associated with emotion and pleasure. We connect with other individuals through this chakra. It is the relationship chakra.

It should be no surprise that this chakra is where the emotion of Expectations is stored. Much like anger is stored in the liver, the chakras are associated with specific emotions.

When we have unresolved Expectations, and patterns of expectation, these accumulate in the Second Chakra. Since this is our connection point to others for relationships, these Expectations can interfere with relationships we are in as well as presenting a barrier to the attraction and formation of healthy relationships.


Self-Expectations

We often direct Expectations inward by having strong or unrealistic expectations of ourselves. These also settle into the Second Chakra, and can interfere with the formation and enjoyment of relationships.

When we are not settled within ourselves, we cannot fully appreciate and enjoy relationships. Self-expectations are a form of self-judgement. When we hold self-judgement, we are more likely to attract partners that reinforce our misperceptions. We attract those who will mirror our own self-perceptions back to us – because relationships are ultimately about self-awareness and growth.

So – how can Expectations (both known and subconscious) be released?


How to Release Expectations

What is the opposite, or “other side”, of Expectations? Appreciating. When we are in a state of simply appreciating the relationships in our lives – when that is the focus – we are not engaging in the evaluation of our partner (or ourselves) based on Expectations.

Appreciating is the higher vibration of Expectations. Expectations can be cleared from cellular memory with the statement, “I am complete within myself.” When we feel complete as-is without placing demands on others, we grow past these Expectations - and the emotional pressure they create.

Are You an Adrenal Body Type?

Adrenal Body Types are distinguished by their high energy and are, by nature, outgoing and charismatic





Women having an Adrenal body type have a "boyish" figure, with a straight, poorly defined waist, and medium-to-large bone structure. They have a wide, grounded stance, and solid musculature throughout their torso, arms, thighs, and calves. Weight gains easily and often fluctuates according to their emotional state. Weight gain begins in the abdomen, waist, entire back, upper hips, upper arms, upper thighs, breasts and face. Secondary weight gain is all over.
Men having an Adrenal body type have a strong, stocky appearance with solid musculature. Muscular definition is easy for them to attain with exercise. Their shoulders are moderately to markedly broader than hips, and height is average to tall. They can easily gain gain, which accumulates as a "beer belly" or a solid thickening of the waist.

A vegetarian diet provides adequate nutrition for the Adrenal body type when healthy.

Adrenal body types can lose weight by reducing food quantities - especially carbohydrates, limit grains to lunch or dinner (not both), focus on raw fruits and vegetables, and exercise at least 40 minutes daily.

The passion of Adrenal body types is Success, and they are motivated by Rejection.

The Core Emotional Issues for the Adrenal body type are Conflict, Failure, Abandonment, and Facing the World.

Releasing Conflict with Valor Essential Oil

When Conflict arises it interferes with harmony in relationships.

Conflict may be inner, or may be a conflict with others. Inner conflict is often manifested as an internal struggle between beliefs, which can lead to indecision about how to act or react to a situation. We often have outdated beliefs that conflict with more evolved thinking and new experiences.

When we are in Conflict with others, we are allowing a difference of perspective to disrupt harmony in our relationships.

Conflict is stored in the Adrenal Cortex, which is the larger, outer portion of the Adrenal gland. Fear of Conflict is a Core Emotional Issue for the Adrenal, Blood and Stomach body types.

The other side of Conflict is Peace, and is reached with the statement “I am at peace.” The elevation from Conflict to the higher vibration of Peace is supported by Valor essential oil blend.

The lesson is that Conflict does not need to disrupt a relationship if we choose Peace instead.

Valor essential oil can also be used to release Aggression, Defensiveness, Inability to Cope, Losing a Battle, Feeling or Being Persecuted, Resignation, and Withdrawn.
