| Is Your Partner Compatible with You? | ||
We learn about ourselves through our relationships. Life also presents us lessons through those closest to us – especially our partner.
Very often, conflict in relationships is about personal growth rather than a lack of compatibility. Our biggest “blind spot” about ourselves tends to be that thing that irritates us the most about our partner. Here are two unique tools for better understanding yourself and your partner, and for resolving conflicts in your relationship. Understanding Both Personalities Personality differences aren’t necessarily insurmountable in a relationship. Achieving an objective view of your personality, then your partner’s, can help pave the way to better understanding of each other, leading to improved communication and partnership. We have innate personality characteristics that heavily influence how we interact with people and how we relate to them. Early on in my research developing the 25 Body Type System, I noticed personality similarities among people sharing the same body type. I was able to develop detailed Personality Profiles whose accuracy invariably surprises most people reading their Body Type Profile for the first time. Once you understand yourself, you can look at your partner. We have a tendency to think, "Everyone thinks the way I think, and if not, if I just explain it to them well enough, they will get it and see it my way." Unfortunately, it does not work that way. Not everyone is motivated by the same thing and we have different strengths and challenges. Reading the Personality Profile of another person’s body type will go a long way in your understanding who they are and what motivates them, as well as their strengths and challenges. A person with the Adrenal body type is action oriented, critical, and outspoken. They want to jump in and get things done without much deliberation or discussion, and correct any mistakes later. And they are a powerhouse personality, which can be overwhelming to others. A Brain body type person wants to research everything first, but can get lost in the details. An easygoing Brain type is easily railroaded by an Adrenal, and will simply shut down. In a relationship, this isn’t a productive way to interact. And neither the Adrenal nor the Brain partner in this example is trying to push their own way – these are the innate personality traits of the two types. When both partners can understand that about each other, and see these differences as strengths, they can have a more harmonious relationship. The Adrenal partner can learn to see the benefit of doing some research up front, and the Brain partner can learn to accept the way the Adrenal keeps things moving. If you don’t already know your body type, take the couples’ body type test for Valentine’s Day this year and read your Personality Profiles together. Resolving Deeper Emotional Conflicts In our relationships we often identify each other’s “hot buttons” – those things that “trigger” us or our partner. We aren’t always aware why these things trigger us. Triggers are usually related to our Core Emotional Issues (CEIs). These CEIs can exert a significant impact on our lives. They can influence your actions and choices on a level far more deeply than you are aware, often subliminally or subconsciously without your full awareness. They often express as a recurring theme that causes you to hesitate or resist moving forward in life, accepting new challenges or opportunities, and reaching your full potential. In this way they can act as roadblocks in your life, when their actual purpose is to challenge us to grow. Like the Personality Profiles, people having the same body type also share the same CEIs. Many emotional release techniques use different methods to train yourself to suppress the undesired emotion when it occurs. I have found it more effective to release the emotion by feeling it, then feeling the “other side” (higher aspect) of the emotion, so that it has somewhere to go rather than remaining stored in the body. This technique creates a new pathway from the undesired emotion to the higher vibrational aspect of that emotion, allowing you to transmute it. Essential oils hold the frequency of the higher aspect of the emotion, helping us to access that as we release the emotion from the body using the acupuncture alarm or reflex points. Going back to our Adrenal / Brain couple, Fear of Losing Control is a CEI for the Brain body type. They believe that they need to be in control of a situation in order for everything to go correctly. But a Brain type person will not easily control an Adrenal type. Meanwhile a CEI for the Adrenal type is Fear of Conflict, but since they are a “bull in a china shop” and often vent without a filter, they often create conflict without realizing it or intending to. This creates a power struggle. Fear of Losing Control transmutes into Balance; and Fear of Conflict transmutes into Peace. Consciously acknowledging and working with these emotions supports a much more harmonious relationship. The CEIs for you and your partner’s body types can be found in your Body Type Profile, and Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils, where you can also find the details of the technique along with clearing patterns for over 570 emotions, acupuncture alarm points, and much more. Happy Valentine's Day - and best wishes for harmony and joy in all your relationships. Determining your body type is easy using my online body type test:

The passion of Blood body types is Harmony, and they are motivated by Respect (from self and others). The Core Emotional Issues for the Blood body type are Disharmony, Conflict, Crushed, and Trapped.

Preparing for a Relationship
With Valor and SARA Essential Oils |
We sometimes repel the opportunity for relationships at an unconscious level. This resistance often stems from emotional patterns – whether innate such as Core Emotional Issues discussed above, or as a result of negative experiences.
Recognizing the source of this resistance allows us to clear these emotional patterns, paving the way for harmonious relationships. The Blood body type described above has Conflict (Fear of) as a Core Emotional Issue. Conflict may be inner, or may be a conflict with others. Inner conflict is often manifested as an internal struggle between beliefs, which can lead to indecision about how to act or react to a situation. We often have outdated beliefs that conflict with more evolved thinking and new experiences. A state of peace is reached when we synchronize our beliefs with current experience and thinking, and the affirmation statement to release Conflict is “I am at peace”. Conflict can be released using Valor essential oil blend, and transmutes into Peace, which is much more supportive of a harmonious relationship. Fear of Conflict is also a Core Emotional issue for the Adrenal and Stomach body types. Valor essential oil can also be used to clear Aggression, Defensiveness, Inability to Cope, Losing a Battle, Feeling or Being Persecuted, Resignation, and Withdrawn.
SARA is an essential oil blend that can help clear Abuse, Resistance to Acceptance, and Expectations. Abuse is cleared from cellular memory with the statement “I deserve to be loved”, allowing us to accept nurturing from others. Clearing Resistance to Acceptance with “I can be accepted” allows us to find our own value within ourselves. Then the impact of rejection by others is diminished, and we are able to receive both acceptance and rejection, without taking it personally.
Expectations – expectations of ourselves, expectations of others, and expectations that are or are not communicated – are a common stumbling point in relationships. With SARA, and the statement “I am complete within myself”, Expectations can be turned into an appreciation of ourselves and others.
