As the Holiday season approaches, we often find ourselves surrounded with tempting foods and treats. Maintaining your figure during this season is the theme of this month’s newsletter – and it may be easier than you think.
This month the Pancreas body type is featured – suitably, as Pancreas body types are the consummate foodies when socializing. Forgiveness and Sage are the essential oils for releasing core emotional issues of Pancreas body types, one of which is Betrayal.

|Enjoying Holiday Eating Without Weight Gain|
The Holidays are approaching, bringing all those parties, snacks and rich meals we love so much. How can you enjoy this holiday season without picking up unwanted pounds? For most body types, it may be as simple as rearranging a few ingredients here and there, and adjusting eating times. And for certain body types, weight gain is related to emotional state just as much as eating patterns.
Choosing What To Eat
Proper nutrition is not a one-size-fits-all topic. Different body types respond differently to the same foods. Patterns of food cravings that encourage us to snack are the result of dietary deficiencies which also vary by body type.
A clear example is the Skin body type, the only body type whose muscle mass is destroyed by refined sugar - even honey should be avoided. Processed foods of any kind will cause weight gain for Skin body types, who should stick close as possible to all-natural sweeteners – fruit, fruit juice, dried fruit or ReVita – and avoid anything in a box.
Stomach body types tend to be party animals. Steak and veggies are fine, but their key to preventing weight gain is to avoid breads. Adrenal body types can also be party animals, and love steak and eggs – but these stimulate the adrenals, leading to depletion. Craving sugar? Most body types will crave sweets when not receiving enough protein.
For Kidney body types, be sure to have cranberry sauce with your turkey - making it supportive to your system and easy to digest. For Blood body types, when eating roast beef or steak, be sure to eat something containing egg - such as Yorkshire Pudding - to assist with digestion.
Ham is a "rarely" (unsupportive) food for Balanced, Gallbladder, Liver, Nervous System, Spleen, and Thyroid body types. Eating chemical-free beef and turkey is essential for Brain, Lymph and Medulla body types.
Variety in foods is important for all body types when the desire is to maintain (not gain) weight. This is especially true for the Pancreas body type (featured this month). Eye body types are generally not weight gainers, but rut eating instead of rotating foods will deplete their systems and result in a lack of energy.
Choosing When To Eat
A fundamental difference between body types is the time of day to eat fruit. Stomach body types like fruit in the morning but would do well to wait until noon and can even include as a late night snack.
The Pancreas body type can more easily maintain weight by consuming 60% of the day’s caloric intake by 2:00 PM. Adrenal and Stomach body types are generally OK with late night eating and large dinners. However, if an Adrenal body type has a large breakfast, they will be hungry and eating all day long.
Choosing Beneficial Exercise
Optimal exercise, like diet, varies considerably between the different body types. For Pancreas body types, exercise as an activity with others provides emotional support and is essential to keeping pounds off. Adrenal body types are best exercising at the end of the day to release excess adrenaline which results in stress and tension. For the Lymph body type, exercise first thing in the morning gets the lymphatics moving and sets the tone for the day.
The Intestinal body type has a window between 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM where they have the energy for effective exercise.
Emotions and Weight Management
Many body types find weight gain/loss closely relates to their emotional state. When stressed in life, most people tend to eat differently – either trying to gain comfort in food, or not feeling like eating at all.
The Intestinal body type will expand physically if they are not expanding in other areas of their lives, so continual growth through relationships and creativity is a weight management key for them. By contrast, a Lymph body type generally has no appetite when feeling stressed.
The Pancreas body type in particular loves to combine 2 favorites – food and socializing – and will gain weight if not exercising restraint and moderation.
The 25 Body Type System
Most popular diets are effective in the short term for a few body types - the body type of the diet's author and a few similar body types.

|Essential Oils of the Month: Forgiveness and Sage|
The first thing that generally comes to mind when we hear the word betrayal is infidelity. A close second is a friendship that has gone bad. In both cases, it's a trust that has been broken, What caused the trust to be broken? What led up to the betrayal event? What caused the relationship to deteriorate? What was your part in the experience? What can be done so it doesn't happen again?
The other side of betrayal is trust and the affirmation or lesson is "I have the courage to accept the truth." Betrayal doesn't just suddenly happen. There is a build up of unresolved conflict or tension which is ignored or denied. Most relationships are constructed around expectations. Many of these expectations are one-sided and have never been mutually agreed upon. Some are based on behaviors that were appropriate initially, but feelings and situations change. Relationships are dynamic, they grow when they are fed and nurtured; they deteriorate when there is a lack of understanding and rigidity.
The area of the body where betrayal is stored is the pancreas. The pancreas is responsible for the production of digestive enzymes and insulin which regulates blood sugar levels. Pancreas problems can be associated with not enough sweetness in one's life.
While we all have all the organs and all the emotions, the emotion that is stored in your dominant gland or organ is generally one of the ones that is a significant challenge. So, if your body type is Pancreas, you will probably relate to betrayal. The essential oil, Forgiveness, holds the positive frequency of trust, assists you in forgiving yourself and others, as well as, giving you the courage to accept the truth.
FORGIVENESS Essential Oil Blend
Helps one release negative memories, negative emotional barriers, hurt feelings and insults. Allows attainment of higher awareness by assisting to forgive and let go. The blend contains Rose, Melissa, Helichrysum, Angelica, Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lavender, Bergamot, Geranium, Jasmine, Lemon, Palmarosa , Roman Chamomile, Rosewood and Ylang Ylang.
Diffuse, directly inhale, or add 2-4 drops to bath water. Apply 1 to 2 drops behind ears, on wrists, neck, temples, navel, solar plexus, or heart. Dilute 1 part oil to 15 parts vegetable oil for a full body massage. Put 4-8 drops on cotton ball and locate on vents. (Possible skin sensitivity. Avoid contact with eyes.)
SAGE Essential Oil
Sage has been considered a sacred herb since ancient times, and has been recognized for its benefits in strengthening the vital centers of the body while balancing the pelvic chakra where negative emotions from denial and abuse are stored. It is mentally stimulating and helps combat mental fatigue and despair. Sage has been used for oral infections, skin conditions, and liver problems. It has been found to help menstrual problems/PMS, and to balance deficiencies of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Dilute 1 part Sage to 1 part vegetable oil, apply 2-4 drops on location and on chakras, diffuse, directly inhale.
The emotion associated with sage is the fear of letting go, which is stored in the bladder.
