If you have the 2015 Edition and would just like the changes, the 2017 Addendum is available on my website for only $2.00, and will bring your 2015 Edition current to 2017.

DISCOVER YOUR BODY TYPE.

The Skin Body Type

Are you strongly attached to, and affected by, your environment? Do you have a strong connection to the earth, nature and animals, that allows you to naturally recharge? Are you highly visual – you see, remember and learn through pictures? Are you extremely sensitive to subtle energies and vibrations – including sounds and voice inflections? Do you communicate through feelings and touch? Do you love simple pleasures, experienced through the physical senses? Are you open, warm and receptive, making others feel safe and appreciated? If this describes you, you could be a Skin body type.

Passion

The passion for the Skin body type Discovery. Sensitive to their environment and the emotional states of the people around them, Skins are like sponges, absorbing everything. With so many interests, it can be difficult to find direction, causing many of them to be late bloomers, not discovering their true life’s work until after the age of 40. Receptive and intuitive, their special strength is to ground their imagination, enabling them to bring forth new discoveries.

Motivation

What motivates the Skin to change or move forward is Anger, which can come from any source. Someone else’s anger directed toward them can motivate them to make personal changes, find their direction, or discover a solution to a problem. Their own anger can stimulate them to look for direction, or get creative and make new discoveries.

Core Emotional Issues

Core emotional issues for Skins are the fear of Criticism and the fear of Abandonment. The other side of Criticism is Unconditional Love and Acceptance, and the way you get there is “I receive”. The key is to receive without judgement and trying to control. Being highly sensitive, Skins tend to control by controlling their environment, often by becoming care-takers and taking on other’s responsibilities. Another way of controlling is by putting on large amounts of weight to act as a protective barrier or buffer.

Life Lesson

The life lesson for Skin body types is “to receive unconditionally” without judgement or ulterior motives. With the skin being the external nervous system, the Skin body type picks up everything. The lesson is to receive the information, get the message from it, and allow it to move, without trying to control it.

Points of Connection

Dominant senses for Skins are emotional and physical. Highly sensitive, emotional and physical, they feel things most people are unaware of. Their strength is their ability to ground their intuitive insights into the practical world.

Celebrities

Celebrities with Skin body type include Luciano Pavarotti, Camryn Manheim, Sidney Poitier, Della Reese, Queen Latifah, and Kevin James.

Lavender Essential Oil

Core emotional issues for the Skin body type are fear of Criticism and fear of Abandonment. Abandonment is a core emotional issue shared by nine of the 25 body types - Adrenal, Brain, Intestinal, Lung, Pituitary, Spleen, Stomach, and Thymus. Criticism is a core emotional issue for the Intestinal body type.

Lavender is the essential oil used to transmute both emotions.

The other side of Abandonment is At-one-ment; which means being at one with all that is. When you are at one with all that is, there can not be any separation. Because all is one, there is no separation, and therefore abandonment can not exist.

The feeling of Abandonment is most commonly felt when someone you care about or someone you feel is supposed to take care of you is no longer in the picture. This can even be projected to God not being there when our expectations are not met. A deeper understanding of abandonment comes when we look at how we have abandoned ourselves.

Ultimately, we experience what we call negative emotions when there is something we need to learn. With abandonment, it’s to embrace all of life’s experiences, because this is how we learn.

The fear of Criticism is stored in the skin. The positive side of Criticism is unconditional love and acceptance. This means acceptance without judgement, but honoring yourself and others by being discerning as to what is true and right for you. By doing this, you can open yourself to receive.
