|Antidotes for "Cabin Fever"|
We certainly find ourselves in unusual times with the Coronavirus “lockdown” keeping most people at home much more than typical. For a society that is accustomed to being “on the go”, this can be stressful.
Not only are work and school suspended – virtually all options for entertainment, meeting new people, and having new experiences and opportunities are temporarily shut down. Without the usual activities of work, school, sporting events, or any “non-essential” activities, we find ourselves with extra time on our hands. For some this presents a welcome break from the usual pace of life. For most, there is a feeling of "cabin fever" at this point.
Time is a precious commodity. Normally we feel we don’t have enough of it – we are locked into schedules, looking for “extra” time for things we want to do. Now we have an opportunity to take advantage of having extra time. The question becomes – how to best use this extra time?
Appreciate The Gift of Time
Appreciation is one way to raise the vibration of a situation. Appreciate the extra time – instead of caving in and just feeling “bored”, or being glued to a TV or video game, look at what will raise your attitude (vibration). Is there a favorite hobby you’ve abandoned because you didn’t have time for it? Arts and crafts projects you’ve been putting off? Closets or drawers you’ve been meaning to clean and organize, so you can find things? Or maybe a home improvement project you keep delaying?
Whether you choose something fun, or something to feel productive or more organized, do it with an attitude of appreciation. What would uplift you the most? What is really important? What brings you joy and a sense of fulfillment?
Being pushed out of our routines also presents the opportunity to evaluate our lives. Are you satisfied with your life? Is there a different direction, activity, or career you’ve contemplated? This could be an opportunity to explore that, or to reformulate short- and long-range plans and intentions.
Care for Your Well-Being
We are being bombarded with suggestions on how to care for our health (see "Surviving the Coronavirus"). It’s equally important to maintain our well-being.
Proper nutrition supports the entire body, including the immune system. The most supportive foods vary by body type, so if you already know your body type, pull out your Body Type Profile & Diet booklet or ebook, or your Quick Reference Card or ebook, and review your food lists.
Are you getting exercise? With gyms closed, this may be an opportunity for enjoying some sunlight and fresh springtime air. For some body types, exercise activates the immune system – even taking a walk is helpful. For other body types exercise is emotionally beneficial, relieving some of the extra stress. Empower Your Children
If you have children, you may be in the position of home-schooling them right now. With children being home, this is a perfect opportunity to create balance in their lives. Now that school does not occupy their entire day, there is more time for exercise and practical learning opportunities – even if it is something simple like learning how to prepare healthy meals and snacks for themselves.
Do you know your child’s strengths and challenges? Can you imagine what your life would be like if your parents knew how to help you overcome your challenges and enhance your strengths when you were growing up? This is the gift of empowerment you can give your children and grandchildren, and this is a great time to begin the journey. Since body type is present at birth, many parents are able to identify their child’s body type by reading the personality profile. Even just reading the one paragraph essence will enable you to narrow the types down to a select few, which you can then explore.
Emotions are a tremendous learning opportunity. Most people were never taught how to deal with their emotions and certainly not the emotions of others. Younger children are generally emotional mirrors and will express what is going on around them, so identifying what you are feeling and including the entire family in the clearing process with the oils will change the emotional atmosphere and provide them with tools they can use the rest of their lives.
Enjoy & Improve Your Relationships
Typically, sharing close quarters more than usual can emphasize the rough edges in our relationships, exacerbating that “cabin fever” feeling.
Extra time at home with family, friends, roommates or partners can be a gift instead of an aggravation – an opportunity to enjoy each other, as well as smooth out some of those bumps in your communication or relationships.
Our basic tendency is to think that everyone thinks the way we think and has the same motivation and passion we do, especially within families. For the most part, families consist of different body types (since body type is not genetic). Each body type has different motivations, personalities, challenges and strengths. These differences exist for our growth. A great starting point is to know the body type of those with whom you have the most conflict. The Personality Profile for each body type gives insight that can help you to understand them.
Each body type also has specific Core Emotional Issues, which can easily be triggered. Abandonment, Restriction, and Failure are a few Core Emotional Issues common to several body types. Stress and frustration generally bring out the worst in people, which is part of the healing process. When the negative emotions surface, identify the dominant emotion, go to Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils or the Oils Lookup on your phone or computer. Find the positive side, the “way out” or how to make the shift and the essential oil that holds the positive frequency, then follow the procedure to shift the emotion. Do yourself and invite the other person to join you. It will still work regardless of whether they join you or not, it is just quicker when they are consciously willing to embrace the shift.
Life will soon be back to normal. This gift of extra time is temporary. Hopefully these suggestions will provide you with a way to return to a life that is “better than before”.

Women with the Gonadal body type have an hourglass figure with defined or well-defined waist. They are petite-to-average in height with small or medium bone structure, characteristically muscular thighs and buttocks, and a relatively flat stomach. Although generally not prone to weight gain, when it does occur, it begins in buttocks, lower hips, thighs, and inner knees.
Men with the Gonadal body type are handsome with fine features and a well-proportioned body. They are average-to-tall in height with medium bone structure. Shoulders may be even with or slightly broader than hips. Torso musculature is naturally solid, and muscular definition in torso is easy to attain. Thighs and calves are thin-to-average.
Personality, Relationships & Career
Gonadal body types are generally light and playful. Beauty is important to them - which may be their personal appearance, environment, or the beauty they see in others.
Family is very important to them, and they are often the glue that keeps families and relationships together. Highly emotional and physically expressive, they quickly and easily show their hurt, anger, joy and affection. Being more people- than task-oriented, they thrive on substantial amounts of human contact. They offer emotional support, and bring out the best in others. They are far more susceptible to stress reaction than others, and when emotionally overwhelmed, will find grounding in playtime or doing "no-brainer" tasks.
Being results-oriented, Gonadals want to see the results of their efforts. Their self-worth is often determined by how their accomplishments make them appear to others. They are inspired by beauty.
The primary nature of Gonadal body types is Physical / Emotional. (Read more about the Points of Connection.)
Exercise for Gonadal types is beneficial emotionally, then physically. It provides a sense of accomplishment and gets energy moving. Exercises that develop the upper body, as well as lower body exercise such as dance or jogging twice a week. Morning is best for vigorous exercise. Sunlight is also very supportive for Gonadals.

Nutrition, Diet & Weight Management
Gonadals do best with a light breakfast and heavier dinner, and more cooked than raw vegetables. Salads are an ideal lunch. Fruit is best with breakfast but not dinner. Cottage cheese, fish, turkey, and brown basmati rice are especially supportive. Avoid peanut butter, orange juice, and russett potatoes.
To lose weight, avoid breads and spices, minimize grains at dinner, and reduce sugars (including fruit). Reduce fats, but include good sources like avocado, coconut, olive oil, butter, and nuts & seeds.

The ultimate deterrent in Living your Passion is Self-Betrayal. Self-betrayal occurs when you are not expressing your highest potential. Boredom occurs when you are not expressing your true essence. The value of knowing yourself is connecting with your passion and being in touch with what motivates you.
