Issue No. 10

I realize that many of my readers are primarily interested in emotional growth using essential oils, while others are primarily interested in aspects of the 25 Body Type System.

Those two topics share a common point that may be of interest to everyone – personal growth through the core emotional issues of each body type using essential oils. This month I explore that in depth.

I hope and trust that all topics I present this month help you to enjoy a healthier, happier life.

How To Grow Through Core Emotional Issues

What Are Core Emotional Issues?

Very early in my research on the 25 Body Type System, I found a strong correlation between body type and core emotional issues. Each body type has a strong propensity for struggling with specific emotional issues. These core emotional issues can even be related to life lessons.

A core emotional issue is a recurring theme in your life that impulses you to grow as a person. These are specific emotions which each body type is more prone to experience deeply.

For example, this month’s featured body type is Intestinal. The core emotional issues for the Intestinal Body Type are abandonment, not good enough, rejection, despair and criticism. An Intestinal Body Type won’t necessarily struggle with all of these, but will readily identify the emotions they do encounter because they will usually be a significant, recurring struggle.

These core emotional issues are not exclusive to Intestinals – for example, rejection (discussed below in more detail) is also a core emotional issue for Balanced, Liver and Lung Body Types.

Although any body type can experience any emotions, the ones on their core emotional issues list will stand out as recurring and seemingly unavoidable pitfalls.

How Are Core Emotional Issues Addressed?

Fortunately, using essential oils, there is a way to access and release these emotional patterns. This process is detailed in Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils. Click below to watch a video demonstration:

If you already know your body type, your core emotional issues can be found in Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils, or in your Body Type Profile and Diet booklet, now also available as an ebook.

Essential Oil of the Month: Purification

Rejection is an emotional issue that many grapple with, and is a core emotional issue of the Intestinal Body Type (see below), as well as Balanced, Liver and Lung Body Types.

Purification is an essential oil blend of Citronella, lemongrass, rosemary, Melaleuca, lavandin and myrtle. It helps purify the air and environment when diffused, including mildew, cigarette smoke and other disagreeable odors. It can also be used directly on the skin to cleanse and soothe cuts, scrapes, and insect bites.

Other uses include:

  • Dilute several drops in a spray bottle to use as an insect repellent
  • Place a couple of drops in shoes to neutralize odor
  • Add a few drops to a wet cloth and place in clothes dryer
  • Add a few drops to bath water
  • Inhale during flights to protect from pathogens in recycled cabin air

Are You an Intestinal Body Type?

You might be an Intestinal Body Type if:
  • You are open to new life experiences and ideas, then you discern what to keep and what to discard
  • New experiences are vital to your growth and expansion
  • If you don’t expand mentally, emotionally or spiritually, you expand physically (weight gain)
  • You are very capable, orderly, responsible, methodical, and attentive to detail
  • You have high standards and high self-expectations
  • You have a strong desire to do everything right
  • Your nature is gentle, sensitive and extremely emotional, although you can be outspoken and direct
  • You have a tendency to internalize when unsure of how to deal with an uncomfortable situation, but you have a strong need to “clear the air”
  • Your initial response to life is emotional – but you don’t always trust your emotions

If this sounds like you, you may be an Intestinal Body Type!
