Dear Readers,

This month I present the basic dietary principles for achieving and maintaining optimal health through nutrition. Even with the basics, there are significant differences between body types.

This month I also review the emotional nature of the Gonadal body type. Identity and Purpose are key themes for Gonadals, and I discuss how to use Release essential oil to connect with Purpose.

As always, I hope and trust that these newsletters help you enjoy a happier, healthier life.

Health and Happiness,

The Gonadal Body Type

Do you find yourself looking for or doing “no-brainer” jobs? “No-brainer” jobs include shopping, cleaning, yard work, house work, beautifying an area; essentially something that can be done physically that is routine, takes limited thought and gives a visual result. Do you have difficulty concentrating when you are physically or emotionally exhausted? Are family relationships a high priority? If this describes you, you could be a Gonadal body type.

Core Emotional Issues

The greatest challenge for the Gonadal body type is finding their own IDENTITY. Being extremely sensitive to the emotional needs of others, especially family, they often link their personal identity with their intimate relationships. Bonding with family and friends, as well as maintaining their approval and acceptance is essential. Generally easy going, the tendency is to blend in with those around them and do their best to meet other’s expectations. Over time, stress builds, since it is impossible to always meet another’s expectations, causing the Gonadal to feel frustrated. This frustration will either be expressed – like hitting, kicking, crying, yelling, talking back, or internalized. Internalized frustration often takes the form of depression, anxiety, emotional volatility, or mood swings. The Gonadal is one of the most emotional of all the 25 body types, meaning they feel their emotions and the emotions of those around them quite acutely. It can be very tempting to use drugs – prescribed or otherwise – to dampen the emotions.

The key to finding your IDENTITY is to discover your PURPOSE. Finding your purpose takes you into a world of self-discovery; differentiating what is truly you and what belongs to those around you. The affirmation is “I am in touch with my purpose.” Affirmations give your subconscious a focus point and are particularly helpful just before you drop off to sleep. The essential oil Release, placed on the uterus or prostate point located on the center of the pubic bone, and the emotional points on the forehead, will hold the vibrational frequency of purpose and help you release what is not you.

Further explanation of this technique is found on the demonstration video.

Life Lesson and Motivation

The LIFE LESSON for the Gonadal body type is “to see the beauty within self.” BEAUTY provides the motivation, the reason for doing things. Inspired by beauty, Gonadals see beauty as an undeniable aspect of God that exists in everything. Beauty and music provide an emotional lift. Becoming the music incorporates another dimension that allows for self-expansion and a sense of freedom. For Gonadals, beauty is what is seen as a person’s essence. It’s apparent in the way they look, the expression of their talents and through the kindness they show to others. Beauty is a quality free from judgement; and because it is the essence of everything, it can’t be relative to anything else. Basing their identity on their family’s and friend’s responses and expectations of them, Gonadals can deny their own self-expression or easily fall into self-sacrifice. The lesson is to find one’s own beauty and express it.

Passion

Passion is what gives you joy, what makes life worth living. For Gonadals, their passion is BEING PLAYFUL. Work still gets done, things are handled, people are taken care of; it is just done in a light, playful way. Through play, they are able to access their inner joy.

If Gonadals have too much on their mind or are experiencing conflict or frustration, or even when having a hormonal imbalance, their ability to think clearly can be significantly impaired. Their usual response is to take time out to recover or look for a “no-brainer” task that has a minimal requirement for concentration. Shifting gears for a while allows Gonadal types to renew their center of balance. Since they can’t handle stress well, playtime is essential in maintaining a positive outlook.

The points of connection for the Gonadal Bodytype are Physical and Emotional. They embody and give physical expression to life and the emotions that make life worth living.

They derive much of their gratification simply through harmonious interactions. Being more people than task-oriented, Gonadals thrive on substantial human contact. Creativity comes when you bring the magic back into your life through adventure, fun and feeling unlimited. Accessing the magical child within allows the dream or make believe to become real. Gonadals nurture by creating an atmosphere or environment where everyone enjoys being themselves and can have fun, which releases the creative energy in everyone.

Achieve and Maintain Optimal Health and Well-being

There are basic principles necessary to achieve and maintain optimal health and well-being. My focus is to help you streamline your search by distilling the basics and then adding the details that are unique to you.

Basic universal dietary principles:
  • Focus on vegetables and protein. Protein may be dense - fish, fowl or animal source, and/or plant - nuts, seeds and/or legumes. The specific details as to which vegetables and proteins are in your body type profile.
  • Fruit is generally in moderation and will vary according to your body type as to the best time of day to eat it, the best types of fruit, and quantity depending on your health status and what you are wanting to achieve.
  • Grains include rice, particularly white basmati, which is the easiest to digest, and others depending on your body type and level of sensitivity.
  • Oils will vary depending on your bodytype. Olive oil is great if your body type is Pancreas, but avoid it if you are a Blood. Butter is compatible with all the body types. Good quality coconut oil, processed the traditional way is also excellent.
  • Salt is required to manufacture hydrochloric HCL acid, which is necessary to break down protein. Even animals are aware of this fact and will travel miles for salt. However, there is a big difference in the heated, iodized salt that is found in processed foods and good quality salts that contain minerals along with sodium. My favorite is a blend of Hawaiian and Mediterranean air dried salt known as Pink Salt because of its high mineral content and the positive effect it has on the digestive system.
  • Water - because the body is 98% water and needs clear water to flush out the normal waste material. Ideally you should drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 130 pounds, half is 65 which is close to 64 ounces or 1/2 gallon of water. Your water should be a good quality water, preferably spring. In the San Diego area, I like Serra Springs, Whole Foods 365 regular brand, and the Artesian water from New Zealand at Trader Joe's. Even though I do find other waters that are good for different people, these three are the most consistent for most people.

While everyone should eat the highest quality of food available, there are some foods like strawberries that should only be eaten organic. Some body types including Lymph, Brain and Medulla have a difficult time breaking down and excreting chemicals, so eating organic is essential. Other types, like Stomach, Liver and Adrenal, are stronger and much better able to deal with our environment.

Foods to avoid are:
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • GMO foods including sugarbeet, soy, corn, canola, alfalfa, papaya and zucchini squash
  • Dairy from cows fed GMO corn or alfalfa

Foods many people are sensitive to include:
  • Wheat in the US, because it is hybrid and difficult for the body to digest. Many people are fine with pasta made from the hard Durham or Semolina wheat.
  • Refined sugar, although many people can handle some in moderation, especially when they are getting sufficient minerals.

Getting the nutrients we need becomes difficult when we have a busy lifestyle, don't get the quality of food we need, or have health challenges that deplete our reserves. One of the first signs of a body being out of balance is excess weight gain. Weight loss programs generally consist of a meal replacement consisting of protein and nutrients (Ceva Totale), something to burn fat and curb appetite (Ceva Slim a gum), and something to increase energy and mental clarity (Ceva Boost).

For increased athletic performance, general energy and increased alertness, caffeine balanced with B vitamins (X-8 Energy Gum) can give you the lift you need without depleting you.
