We hope you enjoy these whimsical stories and they help you gain a deeper understanding of the 25 Body Types.

"Rebecca, I want to thank you for letting me spend some time with you today. I know, that with last minute preparations, you are very busy."

"Oh, John, pleeease! I need to thank you . It's important for both professionals and the general public to be aware of Body Typing. I can't think of a better way to get the word out than to have an article in the Wall Street Journal on the eve of our First Annual International Body Type Conference. A favorable article I hope."

"Oh, you can count on it. I've personally followed Body Typing for over a year now and it's made a big difference in my life. That's how I got the idea to do an interview with you. And I think you are right, this is a health concept whose time has come."

"John, I can't tell you what a thrill I get every time someone tells me they've benefited from the system. That's great! If you like, we can talk here for awhile and then go down on the conference floor. I'd love to introduce you to some of the other people involved with the Association.

"That sounds good. "

"Oh, and would you please call me Ginger. That's what all my friends call me."

"Middle name?"

"No. It's a nick name."

"Interesting. How do you get Ginger from Rebecca?"

"My parents started calling me that when I was about six because I liked ginger snaps so much. It just sort of stuck."

"So the cookies in that jar on your desk are no doubt.....?"

"You guessed it. Ginger snaps. I still get a craving from time to time. Would you like one?"

"I'm afraid it's a little early in the day for me and cookies. Perhaps later. Thanks. But I would like to know how you came to be involved with the Body Type System?"

"Ah, my favorite subject. Let's see. It will be about 3 years now, since I first became aware of Body Typing. A friend of mine took me to the Body Type Cafe for lunch. At the time, I was dealing with some health and relationship issues so I was open to any idea or system that might help. Personally, I've always been more comfortable working an organized, logical, concrete system of doing things. So the Body Type system attracted me from the start.

When we got to the cafe, my friend showed me the Typing Kiosk in the lobby. I thought that was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. I put a five dollar bill in the machine and up comes a full multimedia presentation of the system by Dr. Mein. Then the screens took me through a step by step, question and answer process and in about 10 minutes I had determined I was a Nervous System Type. Later on when I had my type professionally confirmed, it turned out to be right on the money. Anyway, I was impressed. So at lunch I made my food selection based on my type. I don't know what affect it had but I remember it was a great meal. I really enjoyed it.

I was hooked. I had to learn more about this system. It made so much sense to me. That week I found a local practitioner and had my type confirmed. I ordered the Profile and Diet for the Nervous System type and signed up for a class. In the next three months I learned all I could about my type and followed the diet and exercise recommendations. I even started to share some of the psychological profile for my type with my women's group and they all agreed that sounded like me. So not only was my body feeling better day by day but I was starting to appreciate the emotional and spiritual side of myself unlike I ever had before.

I was excited about the improvements in my life so I started to type my friends and their families and anyone I could find who was interested. Each time I identified a new body type I would purchase the Profile and Diet for that type and thoroughly learn it. In fact, I got so good at body typing that my practitioner recommended me to Dr. Mein, herself. One day I got a call from Dr. Mein asking me if I wanted to take advanced courses and apply for certification? Boy did I?

I felt good, I mean really good, about what I was doing for myself and for others. It seemed like no matter how much energy I threw into my body typing activities I had a ton to spare. Since then, though, I've learned to slow down and take time for myself, but at the time you couldn't stop me."

"Wow! That's quite a story. Like love at first sight?"

"You could say that. "

"You mentioned some personal problems which have improved since using the Body Type System. Would you mind sharing some of the details?"

"Not at all. In fact one of the problems I had was not feeling free to express my emotions. I've learned for a Nervous System Type anything that blocks the expressive flow of energy will come out in some undesirable manner. I used to be a regional manager for a large non-profit organization. It was good and in many ways it suited me. It was helping others and there was a ton of work and lots of outlets for my energy. But it was also part of the problem.

I used that position to separate myself from my feelings by keeping busy, controlling lots of other people and constantly focusing on what other people could do for me. I felt powerless over my life, my marriage, my emotional disposition, and my weight, so I turned into a real ogre at work. I'm a softy at heart but you wouldn't know it by the way I took charge of things and barked orders. Meanwhile I was so busy with other people, there never seemed time enough for me and I was becoming resentful and angry. This didn't help my marriage, I can tell you that. After a couple of run-ins with the board of directors and with the donations dropping nation-wide, I was asked to step down to a district position so, of course, I quit. My husband didn't agree with my decision so he called it quits. We didn't have any kids; he just packed and left."

"This must have been an incredibly difficult time."

"Not one of the more pleasant times of my life. But it brought me to the realization that I needed to do something. I've always been a strong-willed and determined person. I decided I shouldn't have to be unhappy and I was going to do something about it. Now that I was out of work for awhile I had the time I needed. They say when the student is ready, the teacher will appear and this is when I discovered the Body Type System.

Several months into studying for my certification, I found out they were establishing an association for Body Typing Professionals. Being an experienced and highly skilled manager, I figured I was a natural so I applied, and you can see the results. I'm happy here because the nature of this system and organization is to help people, help themselves get what they want from their lives. Encouraging and supporting people in change means a great deal more to me then providing charity in a way that just seems to keep people stuck. Besides, there is a value among people working with the system that says, 'it's O.K. to take time out for yourself.' You need to be responsible for and take care of yourself rather than expecting others to do it for you. My focus has changed from what I can get from people to what can I do for them. This has been one of the most important changes I have made in my life."

"So let me recap. You've obviously got your weight under control and very nicely I might add."

"Thank-you"

"You have taken responsibility for yourself and are in control of your life. Finally you've found a calling which let's you freely express your altruistic and natural leadership qualities. And you're organizing and managing a first ever International conference for an alternative health concept that may have a

profound and positive effect on the health of millions around the world. Wow, this all sounds rather miraculous to me."

"John I often think about it that way."

"Well you're sure an inspiration to me I can tell you that."

"Thank-you."

"I suppose I should ask you about the conference."

" Your so right. Basically it's two days of meetings, classes, certification testing and other professional association business and then a full day of public access to the exhibitor hall, classes, typing, and presentations. People will be able to get any kind of information, materials or advice they could need, directly from the professionals. The conference ends with a big 'What's Your Type?' party."

"Let's head down stairs and I'll fill you in on the details."

"Great! Let's do it."
